LEGAL AID CENTERS AND TRAINING PROGRAM, FUNDED BY USAID CHEMONICS
From November 2007 the NGO commenced a nine-month project within the USAID “Land Reform and Market Development” Programme. The project’s goal was support to the realization of land reform process and reorganization of dehkan farms via increasing law knowledge among the rural population and educate youth, mainly on conduction of trainings/seminars, meetings and round tables among the representatives of the Dehkan farms in the Regions of the Republican Subordination [RRS]. Up to-date, the USAID-funded project has covered over 6000 Dehkan farmers in RRS. There has been formed a working group on conduction of seminars and consultations. Over 81 trainings together with tashabbuskors [rural activists] and independently and 81 round tables have been conducted, over 276 outreach and in-office consultations have been provided. Moreover, Arbitrazh’s employees conducted meetings and seminars with the representatives of local government as well as cooperation with Mass Media: participation at the TV and Radio programmes.
