The National Arbitration Conference was conducted in Rоmit on August 29-30, 2007, in sanatorium “Sadbarg”, organized by the Public Organization “Arbitrazh” and financially supported by the Department for International Development (DFID).

The main objective of the conference was to have lesson sharing among arbitrators operating in Tajikistan and increase their professional skills, as well as emphasizing such services as advocacy, mediation and arbitration.
 
During the conference the participants were informed on Land Reform in Tajikistan, Farm Debt Resolution, Law “About Third Party Arbitration Courts in Tajikistan”, as well as Commercial arbitration in Tajikistan. 
 

The participants of the Conference were the arbitrators and staff of the Lеgal Support Centres and Public Organization “Arbitrazh”, representatives of international and non government organizations, members of Interagency Working Group set up by the President Decree to introduce the law “On TPAC”.
