WELCOMETO PUBLIC ORGANIZATION "ARBITRAZH"
The Public Organization "ARBITRAZH" is organized on a local, national and international level to address issues in support of the country’s land reform programme and to improve livelihoods. It was registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan on November 14, 2005. Currently the PO “Arbitrazh” is implementing donor-funded projects, the general aim of all of which is to contribute to the development of a democratic civil society and the reduction of poverty level in Tajikistan. By increasing knowledge of farmers about their land rights through trainings, seminars, legal consultations and a strong publicity and mass media campaign, local issues can be addressed with the involvement of local community. These projects are implemented using the on-the-ground and well-established capacity of the PO «Arbitrazh». Specifically, the PO «Arbitrazh» Project Support Office [PSO] in Dushanbe implements project work corresponding to the specific geographical area of coverage for clients. Overall guidance, coordination and technical, administrative and logistic support is provided by the PO «Arbitrazh» PSO in Dushanbe. The implementation of the projects will make a significant contribution to the future business planning activities of the PO “Arbitrazh” as they promote collaboration among organizations whose mission is the improvement of the legal culture in Tajikistan. Collaboration improves effectiveness, as well as contributing to the distribution of legal information on land rights. As mass media is also involved, there are good PR opportunities as much for the implementing agency, as for the donor organizations.
